I gave up with a small sigh

"I almost called you mommy I made a-a mistake." I felt my voice break on the last words.

Max:

"Awww," I put a hand on her shoulder. "Angel..." I didn't know what to tell her. I wasn't her Mom, obviously, but I wanted to tell her something to make her feel better.

Angel:

"It's ok I made a mistake........sorry." I said a gently rested my head on Max hand.

Max:

"Awwww, don't be sorry."

Angel:

"I am sorry your not my mom........no matter how much I wish you were." I added the tears now starting to brim around my eyes my small curls looked dull and limp no longer bouncing and bobbing up and down.

Max:

I hugged her. "Shhh."

Angel:

I was crying freely now and let go to gently wipe eyes clean with my little fists.

"I'm ok.........sorry." I said as I took off in the other direction.

Max:

I ran after her. "Don't be sorry. And who cares about who your mom is, anyway? You've still got me." I reasoned.
"And Fang, and Nudge and Gazzy and Total and My Mom and Ella."

Angel:

"I wish with all my heart that you were my mom."

"I know I have everyone they are the best family ever it's just sometimes........" I unzipped the purse strapped to my waist to pull out my darling Celeste as Max gathered me in her arms.

Max:

"Well, sometimes finding your parents isn't all its cracked up to be. Remember Iggy's awful parents?"


OOC: they tried to sell him as a sideshow once they met him again and saw his wings.

ooc: holy s.hit really?!?!?! yeesh btw how LONG is it gonna take for Max to tell Angel that she feels the same as her that she wants Angel to be her daughter like in the first book?

Max:

"Though if I had a choice, I'd have you be my daughter." I said into her hair

Angel:

"I try hard to forget those those meanies!"

ooc: I love how Angels language is so innocent but it gets boring so Im glad I've got Nudge to smooth it out.

Max:

I chuckled.

ooc: HALLELUJAH!!!

Angel:

A small smile spread across my pink lips.

"Really?!" I said both excited and hopeful.

Max:

"You've heard me think it before."

Angel:

"Coming from an experienced mind reader you should know that it is possible to lie to your mind and that things always sound better out loud." I said throwing my arms around her neck.

Max:

I hugged her back. If Fang saw any of this he was going to probably say something idiotic to me.
And I'd either tell him to shut up or start lip-wrestling with him

Angel:

"Enough crying lets go do something else!"

I said excitedly tugging Max back to the house.

Max:

I smiled and shook my head.
That kid was a little ball of energy
packed into forty-five pounds of feathery fun.
I looked around to see if Fang was inside.
I frowned a bit when he wasn't--well, not in the living room, he wasn't.

Angel:

She looked dissapointed I sighed.

"If your looking for Fang he said something about gym and working out." I smiled when I saw Max blush.

Max:

I blushed really hard.
"Okay then."
It was a bit awkward that she'd heard EVERY FREAKING ONE of my fantasies about Fang--one of them being one that probably scarred her for life.
But also conveniant in times like these.

Angel:

I shivered.

"You just HAD to bring that one up AGAIN didnt you!" I said as the image flashed in my eyes longer than necessary.

i was coasting over some forest away from the house. i told angel i was going to the gym but by that i ment im gonna fly around aimlessly. same thing.
